You’ve worked hard to get here. You want to enjoy being here, too.
More confidence in your decisions. More freedom from overthinking. More energy for the life you’ve worked so hard to build.
You don’t need to care less. I’d rather help it cost you less.
I have no interest in making ambitious people less ambitious. Caring about your work and wanting to succeed shouldn’t leave so little energy for the rest of your life.
No vague fluff. Just practical, evidence-based approaches to help you:
Manage stress and anxiety at work and at home.
Spend less time caught up in overthinking and self-doubt.
Switch off and properly rest, with more energy to enjoy life.
Make decisions with more confidence.
Keep pursuing your ambitions, with less pressure holding you back.
Be more present for your relationships, interests and life beyond work.
Understand the pressure. Find a different way forward.
Thoughtful, practical support shaped around your circumstances, your ambitions and what matters to you.

How therapy and coaching can help with stress
“Just switch off” isn’t much help when you’re still thinking about work.
Time off may not feel like much of a break if it takes you days to unwind.
We start by understanding what’s happening for you: the demands you’re facing, what happens in your mind and body, and how you respond. From there, we work out what could change.
Cognitive behavioual hypnotherapy combines cognitive and behavioural approaches with hypnosis to work on thoughts, habits and responses that may be keeping stress going. In hypnosis, I guide you to focus your attention and work with suggestions linked to the goals we agree. You remain in control.
Life coaching helps you think through decisions, priorities and ambitions, and turn what you want to change into practical steps.
Together, we agree a clear focus for our work. We go at your pace You’ll understand what we’re working on, why it matters and how to use what you learn in everyday life.
We can talk through the approach and level of support that fits you in the free Initial Conversation.
Support for the stress that doesn’t shout
Sometimes it’s the conversation you keep replaying. The decision you revisit after you’ve made it. Or the time off you spend wondering whether you’re making enough of it.
Overthinking, self-doubt and perfectionism may be part of what brings you here, alongside the demands of your work and life. We look at how those things fit together and where change could help.
That could mean making choices with less second-guessing, resting without wondering what you should be doing instead, or feeling more able to pursue something that matters to you.
You can work on a specific concern through individiual sessions or a six-session series, using one approach per session. Élan and Atelier combine cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy and coaching, with more time and support around the work.
We’ll talk about what you want help with before I make any recommednations. I’ll explain what I recommend and why. The decision to go ahead is yours.

A conversation before a commitment
The free Initial Conversation is 30 minutes on Zoom. It gives us both a chance to talk about what’s happening, what you’d like to change and whether working together feels like a good fit.
You can start with something as simple as ‘I can’t switch off’ of ‘I’m tired of questioning everything I do’. I’ll ask a few questions and explain how I work. You can ask about sessions, costs or anything else you want to understand.
You don’t need to prepare a polished explanation or tell me everything at once.
This is a conversation about suitability and next steps, rather than a therapy or coaching session.
If we’re a good fit, I’ll recommend an approach and level of support, and invite you to work with me. The decision to go ahead is yours.
There’s no obligation to go further and no pressure to make a decision on the call.
I understand the world you’re trying to keep succeeding in.
I spent nearly 30 years workding in finance and HR I know what it’s like to care deeply about doing a good job and not letting anyone down. I also know how exhausting it can be when nothing you do feels quite enough.
That experience counts in this work. I understand the deadlines, responsibilities and difficult decisions. We take them seriously while looking at the patterns that may be adding to the strain.
You don’t need to edit yourself for me.
I may challenge you, ask questions that make you think or help you look at something differently, but I won’t ever judge you. You’re welcome to question me too.
My training in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy, integrative CBT, stress management and life coaching gives us practical ways to understand what’s happening and work towards change.

Things can change without changing everything
Perhaps there’s an opportunity you want to pursue, a change you’ve been putting off, or a way of working and living you want to build.
You might want to lead with more confidence, trust your judgement in the decisions that shape your future, or feel able to enjoy your success without immediately worrying about what comes next.
Those are meaningful goals to bring to our work together. We look at what’s keeping stress, overthinking and self-doubt going, and work towards greater freedom and confidence to act on what matters to you.
You can start with what’s happening now. You don’t need to have all the answers.

FAQs
Why can’t I switch off from work, even when I’m not working?
Thinking about work outside of working hours can feel useful, particularly when you’re trying to solve problems, prevent mistakes or prepare for what’s next. But repeatedly running through conversations, decisions and unfinished tasks can keep your mind on duty long after the working day ends.
The aim isn’t to force thoughts away. It’s to develop ways to step back from them when they’re no longer helping.
Why don’t weekends or holidays actually make me feel rested?
Time away from work doesn’t automatically mean time free from pressure. You might still be checking messages, thinking through problems or worrying about what will be waiting when you return.
Rest and recovery involve more than stopping work. Being able to mentally disengage matters too, and after a prolonged period of pressure, that can take practice and time.
Do I need to wait until stress gets too much?
Absolutely not. You don’t need to be at breaking point to get help
You might want to learn how to relax, make a decision without examining it from every angle, or make bigger changes because pressure is taking too much out of you.
The Initial Conversation helps us work out what would be helpful.
What if we’re not the right fit?
The Initial Conversation gives us both a chance to assess that. I work best with people who are curious about themselves and willing to take an active part.
You can disagree, ask questions and say when something doesn’t fit. If I’m not the right person to help you, I’ll tell you.
